Palm Sunday is known for its processional that starts on the Peace Terrace, as we wave our palms high and shout, “Hosanna!” Hosanna is an interesting word often used as a word of praise, but unlike Hallelujah or Amen, it is a calling out to God for help. The full use in scripture is Hosanna! Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord, Hosanna in the Highest! Join us as we “call forth” God into our midst and remember Jesus’ entry to Jerusalem through story, scripture, and song.
The Govans Chancel Choir, led by Marie Herrington, will present their special Palm Sunday choral presentation “This Is Now” during the service. This concert includes all new works by living composers such as Anselm McDonnell, Pranav Ranjit, Steven Ward, Laura Nevitt, Marie Herrington, and Mark Miller.
