Myra Brosius, our part-time rental manager since 2020, is also a member of Govans and joined around the year 2000. In her position, she meets with people interested in renting our facilities for a range of activities from baby showers to weddings and drafts agreements to make sure everything goes smoothly. Myra enjoys getting to know potential tenants, welcoming them to our campus and sharing with them a little about Govans. She loves Govans for the warm community of people, its progressive and open theology, and music. Myra enjoys adding special pieces of God’s creation to worship services such as magnolia branches and holly berries. She grew up in Frederick Maryland at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains when the countryside was still dairy farms and there were no malls. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, playing the flute, spending time with the family’s dogs, Pico the Pug and Baron the Golden Retriever, and with her husband Peter and two adult children Paulina, and Justin.
